Litchfield Recreation Philosophy

The Litchfield Youth Recreation league is dedicated to providing the children of Litchfield with an opportunity to learn the fundamentals of various sports. We encourage a sense of fun and expect good sportsmanship.

Sportsmanship Conduct

  • There will be NO foul language by any players, coaches, umpires, officials or spectators.

  • Unsportsmanlike behavior WILL NOT be tolerated! Coaches, umpires or board of directors of Litchfield Youth Recreation may give a verbal warning and/or a game suspension and/or a league suspension depending on the severity of the situation.

Examples of unsportsmanlike behavior include, but are not limited to the following:

a. Foul Language

b. Fighting

c. Verbal abuse of players, coaches, helpers, umpires, officials or spectators

d. Excessive arguing with umpires  (and/or refs)

e. Excessive arguing with coaches (and/or helpers)

PARK ORDINANCES, AS WELL AS SCHOOL RULES, SHALL BE FOLLOWED AT ALL TIMES.
