Restore Sea-run Alewife fish capability to Cobbossee Stream. Good, bad, neutral?
The Department of Marine Resources is desiring to restore sea-run Alewives access to Cobbossee Stream. This one page summary from the Cobbossee Watershed District provides some background on their perspective. An alternate view is offered by non-profit Upstream Cobbossee in this short video. If you are interested in finding out more, call the Town Office (268-4721) and we’ll provide you a point of contact for either side of the issue.
Transfer Station Passes Available at the Transfer Station:
All Litchfield residents/property owners are required to have a yellow Transfer Station sticker to use the transfer station. This sticker replaces the old blue one and must be attached to the lower right (passenger side) windshield. Stickers may be picked up free of charge at the Transfer Station for each of your registered vehicles (show your registration).
