Paid positions:

Public Works: 1 full time
The Town of Litchfield Public Works Department is seeking qualified applicants for one Equipment Operator/Laborer position. This is a full-time position with benefits. Applicants must have a clean Class B license. A Class A license is a plus. This position requires weekend work and overtime during the winter removing snow and ice from Town roads. A successful applicant will have experience operating equipment such as a front-end loader, grader, backhoe, excavator and dump truck. Provide applications to the Litchfield Town Office, 2400 Hallowell Road, Litchfield, ME 04350. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.

When calling 911 for any reason First-Responders will be safer and better able to help you if you let the 911 dispatcher know if you are experiencing any flu-like symptoms.

Notices:

Rabies Clinic to benefit fuel fund:

There will be a rabies clinic this Saturday, October 24th at the Central Fire Station from 9 – 11 am. Cost is $20 per animal with $5 going to the Litchfield Fuel Fund.

Public hearing to approve GA benefits:

There will be a public hearing, Monday, October 26th at 7 pm during the Select Board meeting in order to approve Government Assistance benefit maximums for the 2020 – 2021 fiscal year (amount schedules are provided by the State and may only be adjusted upward).

New (Yellow) Transfer Station Passes Required: 

All Litchfield residents/property owners are required to have a yellow Transfer Station sticker to use the transfer station.  This sticker replaces the old blue one and must be attached to the lower right (passenger side) windshield.  Stickers may be picked up free of charge at the Transfer Station for each of your registered vehicles (show your registration).
