– Restore Sea-run Alewife fish capability to Cobbossee Stream. Good, bad, neutral?

The Department of Maine Resources is desiring to build fish ladders to allow Cobbossee Stream to allow sea-run Alewives. This one page summary  from the Cobbossee Watershed District provides some background.

The Transfer Station leaf and brush pile is closed for the season (as are tires, refrigerator and a/c drop offs).

– Fire permits are only available online through Warden’s Report.  Not at the Fire Department.

New (Yellow) Transfer Station Passes Required:

All Litchfield residents/property owners are required to have a yellow Transfer Station sticker to use the transfer station.  This sticker replaces the old blue one and must be attached to the lower right (passenger side) windshield.  Stickers may be picked up free of charge at the Transfer Station for each of your registered vehicles (show your registration).
